Pin Ball Dodgeball

Set-Up

Space four cones across the court at the end of the playing area or in the middle of each half. On top of each cone, place a ball and place dodgeballs on the center line.  Form two equal teams and place each at the opposite end of the play area.

How to Play

The usual dodgeball rules:

The game starts with soft dodgeballs on the center line. Players start behind the end line, and at the opening rush, each team retrieves the balls to their right on the center line. The ball must be taken behind the attack line before it can be thrown or after they move back three steps/seconds.

Students take a knee if:
- The ball hits you below the shoulders.
- You throw a live ball, and your opponent catches it.

Students can block a thrown ball with a held ball, but if you drop the blocking ball or the thrown ball still ends up hitting your body, you are out.

A ball is dead and cannot get you out if: It hits the ground or wall or has already hit another player. It is held for longer than 10 seconds.

Pin Ball Rules

The teams attempt to be the first to knock the other team's target balls off the cones.

One player may guard each target ball.  Cones and the target balls that are hit should be removed from the playing area.

  1. Players who have been hit must stand or sit on the sidelines until either the player who hit them is hit or a teammate catches a fly ball.

  2. If players drop the ball, they are considered hit.

  3. If players duck, the ball may hit them anywhere (not just below the waist); however, if a ball is headed for their face, they may block it without leaving the playing area.

Doctor Doctor Pin Ball Dodgeball

Same rules, but when a student gets hit by a ball, just like Doctor Doctor Dodgeball, you have one specific student on each team who’s designated to revive them by tapping them on the shoulder.
