Star Wars Stick (Jedi Training)

Set-Up

You are the Jedi master. Your job is to train your young Padawan Jedi. To do this, you use the light saber training sword (Star Wars stick).

Firstly ask the children to form a semi-circle around you. Then get them to focus and take some deep breaths and prepare to begin their Jedi training.

How to Play

Sweep the Star Wars stick and its rope along the floor so that the children. The children then have to jump in the air over the rope using their Jedi powers.

Teach the kids how to jump in the air with both feet before the rope gets too close.

Jedi Challenge

Once the children have become proficient at jumping over the rope, you can start the 'Jedi Challenge'.

If a child is hit by the rope, they are out and stand further back from the circle and watch the rest of the group.

The challenge continues until there are two remaining Jedi Padawans who compete to see who is the last person not to be hit by the rope.

The winner is awarded the title of young Jedi.
