Basketball Doctor Doctor
Set-Up
Select a handful of students who are designated as taggers.
These students hold a pool noodle or bib that they can use to tag other students. Emphasize self-control with students to avoid hitting the head/face.
Select a few students who are designated the Doctor. Their role is to heal any student who gets tagged.
How to Play
The taggers look to tag students by throwing their bibs onto a player’s basketball ball. If a student is tagged, they cannot move and shout out ‘Doctor. Doctor.’ A Doctor runs over to them to heal them. The Doctor must receive a bounce pass or thrown pass from the player, then make a bounce pass back to them. Once healed, the student can continue playing.
The game continues until all the students are tagged and/or a time has elapsed. (A Doctor cannot be tagged).
Then rotate the students who are the taggers and Doctors.
Variations
The Doctors can slow the taggers down by sending them to the hospital (area created outside the square) if they touch them with their bib/pinnies.
