Hopscotch
How To Play
Hopscotch is a popular playground game in which players toss a small object, called a lagger, into numbered triangles or a pattern of rectangles outlined on the ground and then hop or jump through the spaces and retrieve the object.
Students line up at the start line. The first student in line tosses the lagger into square #1 and then proceeds to hop over the lagger, and progress to square #10. Students hop with a single leg on the single squares and two legs on the joined squares.
If the student successfully makes it to square #10 and back, they then pass the stone to the next person. The aim is to successfully repeat the game over and over, moving the lagger up the hopscotch.
If a student throws the lagger incorrectly into the wrong square, loses balance, or jumps incorrectly they have to start over again.
