Basketball
How To Play
A small-sided basketball game is great for children.
Have everyone line up behind 3 cones (see diagram). Select two teams. Each team attempt to score in the opposition’s basket. The first 4 students are on one team, the second 4 students are on the other team. Usual basketball rules. If the ball goes out of play, students throw it in from the side.
Foul = throw-in from the side, but if it is within the 3 point line, a free throw is awarded
Variations
If fewer kids do 2v2 half-court.
Try to make it a maximum of 5v5 or create another game on a 2nd court.
Reduce field size or expand
Play half-court if required
